Nurse Aide Training

Students will receive basic understanding of patients, medical terminology, infection control, body systems, basic nursing skills, personal care skills, nutrition and hydration, common chronic and acute conditions, medical emergencies to include CPR, professionalism and employment skills, and preparation for the state exam.

 

Students will train with equipment that may be used in the Nurse Aide duties.  This equipment includes, but is not limited to, blood pressure cuff, stethoscope, scale, infection control measures, oral and denture care supplies, feeding supplies, urinary supplies and positioning aides.

7 Week Course (Monday-Thursday)

·   40 Hours of Classroom

   20 Hours Documented Skills Practicum

   40 Hours of Clinical Experience

In this course, you'll learn how to recognize and respond when someone is experiencing sudden cardiac arrest, choking, illness or injury; how to call 911, and how to begin lifesaving chest compressions, until professional help arrives.  

Our sessions are in-person with a Certified Instructor who will teach practice skills and demonstrate competency.

These classes are ideal for:

  • Child Care Professionals

  • Camp Counselors

  • Healthcare Professionals/Providers

  • Professions Requiring Certified Training 

  • Anyone Interested in SAVING LIVES!!!

MEDICATION
TECHNICIAN

Students will be introduced to the basics in pharmacological practices through an 8-hour medication administration course. These practices allow them to obtain knowledge necessary to administer medication accurately and safely.

The objective of this course is to provide students with information where they learn that safe and accurate drug administration requires proficiency with administration technique, knowledge of medications, and great assessment skills.

Family Caregiver Skills Training Class

Are your prepared to take care of your loved one?

This community training will give you hands-on experience, tips, knowledge and skills to safely care for your loved one in the comfort of their own home!

This training course is ideal for:

  • Family members (Parents, Adult Children, Siblings, etc.)

  • Friends

  • Churches

  • Anyone that became a caregiver without knowing they were a caregiver.
